Proper preparation prevents rework. Before installing your new A/C compressor, carefully read the manual — which is normally included in the box.
Step 1 – Recover refrigerant from the low-pressure port. Check oil color in discharged refrigerant. If contaminated (dark/black), the entire A/C system needs flushing.
Step 2 – Remove faulty parts only when gauge pressure hits 0 MPa. Immediately seal all open ports and detached lines. This prevents contamination and oil loss — two leading causes of premature compressor failure.Â
