🏭 Behind the Cool Air: Quality Standards of Our A/C Compressors (2/8) – IATF 16949

The most important quality standard in automotive manufacturing is IATF 16949.

This isn't just another certification. It's the global benchmark developed by Ford, GM, BMW, Volkswagen, and Toyota — the world's largest automakers.

IATF 16949 builds on ISO 9001 but adds automotive-specific requirements, including the five core tools:

APQP – Structured product planning before production
FMEA – Identifying failure points during design
MSA – Measuring system accuracy verification
SPC – Continuous process monitoring
PPAP – Production run approval before shipment

Major automakers require their suppliers to hold this certification. We do too.

That means from raw materials to final assembly, every step follows strict, documented procedures.
